Earthquake!!

Wow what a week! First thing I would like to address is that I was very disappointed that I slept through the earthquake and tsunami warnings. I wish that I would have seen it and felt it but I was pretty tired that night. Our signs had fallen of the wall and that's about it.

But this week was transfer week, and I got my new companion and he is super awesome, we are constantly working and trying to find more people to teach and bring into the waters of baptism. But it is hard for the people up here in Alaska where you don't see the sun and its always dark and gloomy in the winter.

We ran out of miles on our truck so we had to figure a way to get around, so we barrowed some bikes and kept on going. Its been a solid -2 degrees for the past week so it was pretty hard to stay out and keep working hard but people are searching and we need to find them!

I love studying and praying. It's awesome when you can just worry about others and not about yourself and seeing the change in the lives of others has been priceless.

Sincerely, Elder Garff

Dear Parents,

We are communicating with you regarding the earthquake and tsunami warning early this morning in Alaska.

All of the missionaries are safe and unharmed!  President Toone has been in contact with the missionaries in all of the impacted area, and reports that all-is-well.

It was a 8.0 quake at 12:30AM.  It was felt throughout south-central Alaska.

Please know that everyone is fine!!!

Thanks for trusting us with your missionary!!!
